A Word About Billing

Whether you were here as an inpatient or as an outpatient, you are likely to receive more than one bill for services from various healthcare providers. For examples, you may receive bills for:

Hospital Services

The hospital will bill you for its service- such as: room charges, medicines, treatments, and ancillary services performed by the hospital staff.  If you would like an itemized bill, please call (432) 268-4860.

Physician Services

Your physician will send you a separate bill for services connected with your inpatient or outpatient visit to Scenic Mountain Medical Center. If you have a question regarding physician charges, please contact your physician directly.

Radiologist Services

Radiologists are physician who specialize in interpreting radiological examination such as x-ray, cat scan, MRI, etc. If you had a radiological exam, you will receive a bill from the radiologist for that service. 

Anesthesiology Services

An anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist specialize in administrating anesthesia during a surgical or invasive procedure. If you had a surgical or invasive procedure performed, you will receive a bill for that service.

Pathology Services

Pathology specimens (tissues) are generally sent to a pathologist who specializes in study and interpretation of pathology specimens (tissues). If your physician sent a pathology specimen or tissue to a pathologist, you will receive a bill for that service.

Consultation

When your physician consults with other physicians on your case, the consultation physician will bill you separately for his/her services.
