The Scenic Mountain Medical Center laboratory is a Joint Commission accredited laboratory providing quality services that our physicians and patients need. The SMMC laboratory performs clinical assays for physicians, home health agencies, nursing homes and other laboratories in addition to serving our inpatients and outpatients. Our principle objective is to provide accurate and diagnostically meaningful test information. Stringent quality control programs are an integral part of all testing procedures.
Our lab participates in proficiency evaluation programs in conformance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act, College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks.
